Super Eagles forward Kelechi Promise Iheanacho insists that Manchester City can still win the English Premier League despite falling behind leaders Leicester by 6 points on Sunday after losing to Tottenham.
The 19-year-old came off the bench to score a wonderful goal for City against Tottenham on Sunday, but his goal was not enough to save the Citizen as they still lost 2-1 on the evening at the Etihad stadium.
“We will close the gap (between us and front runners),” he told Manchester City Television after the game.
“We were very disappointed we lost, no one is happy, but we will come back stronger.
“We will put this defeat behind us and keep going for the next games. We will work hard and concentrate for every game.”
Iheanacho became joint top scoring substitute in the EPL this season with 3 goals scored after coming off the bench.
