Chris Okotie-T.B.Joshua is the son of devil & his followers will go to Hell

Lagos based Pastor of the Household of God Church, Kris Okotie, has said that he stood by his recent sermon where he said the Catholics and T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church will burn in hell fire Since his outburst, condemnations and commendations have continued to pour on him from Nigerians who felt concerned about the statement. In his latest tweet, the fashionable pastor simply said ‘the truth is bitter’. However, majority of Nigerians are asking Pastor Okotie who has married and divorced twice, if God does not hate divorce, according to the Scriptures. Pastor Okotie had predicted ‘hell’ for Catholics ‘because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil’. Okotied added that the Catholic Church was “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.” “They are not Christians and have never been,” Okotie told a bewildered congregation. “They don’t know Jesus.
They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual,” Okotie said. He also alleged that Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan. “The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,” Okotie erupted. Similalrly, Okotie also condemned famous preacher and philanthropist, Prophet T.B. Joshua, saying “T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell”.

Manchester United Fan In kenya Commit Suicide After Loss To Newcastle

A Kenyan fan unable to cope with Manchester United's loss to Newcastle committed suicide over the weekend.
Police in Nairobi confirmed the incident on Monday.

John Macharia, 28, plunged to his death from a multi-storey apartment block in Nairobi after the Red Devils suffered a second home defeat in four days.
Newcastle's first win at Old Trafford since February 1972 means the reigning champions are now 13 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal.
"Macharia jumped from seventh floor of an apartment at Pipeline Estate after realising that his team Manchester United lost 1-0 to Newcastle at Old Trafford and committed suicide," said Nairobi's County Police Commander Benson Kibui.
Macharia's death is reminiscent of the suicide by a Kenyan Arsenal fan in 2009. Suleiman Omondi, 29, was found hanging in his flat after the Gunners were trounced 3-1 by Manchester United in the second leg of a Champions League semi-final.
Kibui urged football-obsessed Kenyan fans to support local teams rather than foreign clubs who do not have a link to the east African nation.
"The football fans should enjoy the matches... but they should not commit suicide since life is very precious," Kibui added.

Mandela Family Begins Battle Over $15 Million Fortune

He was a celebrated symbol of peace and democracy the world over.

But in the last years of his life, Nelson Mandela’s own family has been at war, bickering between themselves over his many millions.
And in the wake of the anti-apartheid leader’s death at 95 today, it is feared his surviving family will be plunged in to deep rifts over who stands to gain his fortune.

Mandela was married three times and fathered six children – only three of whom, his daughters Makaziwe, Zenani ‘Zeni’ and Zindziswa, are still alive.

His daughter Makaziwe, from his first marriage, and Zenani, from his second marriage, have reportedly already become embroiled in a legal battle earlier this year over the control of a £1million trust fund.

Mr Mandela’s third daughter, Zindzi, is not involved in the court action, the Star of South Africa reported.

But Makaziwe and Zanani are demanding access to the fund and have begun legal action against the trust’s two directors; 84-year-old lawyer George Bizos, who defended Mandela in the 1963 Rivonia Trial, and 60-year-old Tokyo Sexwale who was a prisoner alongside Mandela on Robben Island.

Supported by almost all of Mr Mandela’s grandchildren, Makaziwe and Zenani allege that the trust was intended for them and that Mr Bizos and Mr Sexwale ‘hijacked’ it.

Makaziwe and Zenani have also launched a legal battle against the same two men and another lawyer Bally Chuene who are all directors of companies whose main purpose was to channel funds from the sale of Mandela’s handprints.

The two daughters claim that Bizos, Sexwale and Chuene were never appointed by Mandela as major shareholders or directors. Bizos claims the allegations are completely false.

It is understood that Mandela has accumulated a fortune of more than £10million from his many autobiographies, intellectual work and after turning his family name in to a brand – a move his family have been more than happy to take advantage of.

The family is active in more than 110 trading companies, according to records compiled by Beeld newspaper.

His daughter Makaziwe has founded the House of Mandela wine label and is reportedly an active director in 16 other companies, although she insists some directorships have lapsed.

Addressing claims that the Mandela family are exploiting their name, Makaziwe has been quoted as saying: ‘It’s our name anyway. Why should we apologise for our name?
‘I’m in the wine industry. There are families who’ve been in the wine industry for 500 years and no one says they are cashing in on their name.

‘Every child in this family who wants to use the Mandela name has a right to do, so as long as they do so with honour and integrity and upholding the values of my father.’

Meanwhile, many of his grandchildren control other franchise companies or products.

He has 17 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren – several of whom have been accused of trying to make money off the back of their family ties with the famous leader.

The money was placed in the fund by Mr Mandela in 2005 to be distributed to his daughters only in the event of hardship as he wanted them to forge a career of their own rather than live off his money.

He is said to have set up around 27 such funds over the years after ‘losing trust’ in his children with the money intended to last generations for ‘specific circumstances’ and not general use.

MANDELA’S FAMILY TREE
Nelson Mandela married three times, fathering six children, only three of whom are alive today.
Mandela married his first wife Evelyn Ntoko Mase in 1944 but they divorced 13 years later.
The couple had two sons, Madiba ‘Thembi’ Thembekile, who died in 1969, and Makgatho Mandela who died in 2005.
They had a daughter named Makaziwe ‘Maki’ Mandela who died a few months after being born in 1947 and named their second daughter in her honour.

He married his second wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in 1957 and they divorced in 1996.
They had two daughters, Zenani ‘Zeni’ and Zindziswa ‘Zindzi’ Mandela-Hlongwane.

Mandela remarried on his 80th birthday in 1998 to Graça Machel who he was still married to at the time of his death.
He has 17 grandchildren – the oldest born in 1965 and the youngest in 1992 – and a growing number of great-grandchildren.
Two of his granddaughters – Zenani’s two daughters Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway and Swati Dlamini who are both in their 30s – appeared in a reality TV show called ‘Being Mandela’.
While the 94-year-old former South African president does not appear in the show, his second wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela – ‘Big Mommy’ to her grandchildren – has a central role.

The sisters, along with two brothers, also launched a fashion line, called ‘Long Walk to Freedom’ in honour of their grandfather’s autobiography.

Many family members have also become embroiled in scandals – with his grandson Mandla Mandela being accused of bigamy when he wed French teenager Anais Grimaud while still apparently married to his first wife.

The pair then later split when the couple’s child was alleged to have been fathered by one of his brothers.
Mandla is the oldest son of Nelson’s late son Makgatho.

He was born in 1974, followed by Ndaba (1983), Mbusu (1991) and Andile (1993). It is not known which brother was involved with his wife.

Mandla has also been accused in the past of trying to sell the TV coverage rights of his grandfather’s funeral for £225,000.
Family members have also accused Mandla of wanting to evict a cousin from her home near Johannesburg in order to turn it into a tourist attraction. Mandela denied the allegations.

As well as financial rifts and court battles, Mandela’s family has also been struck by many tragedies over the years.

His son, Makgatho Mandela died of AIDS in 2005 and Mandela’s great-granddaughter, 13-year-old Zenani Mandela, was killed in a car crash caused by a driver travelling at twice the 80km/h speed limit on a motorway in South Africa in 2010.

Catholic priest Pulls Out Gun, Threatens To Shoot Church Members In Imo State

It appears we are truly approaching the much talked about end time. As you read this, a Catholic priest in Imo State is being investigated by the police after reports that he was illegally in possession of weapons.

The Reverend Father is said to be in charge of a parish in the Dikenafai environs of the Ideato South LGA of the state. He is said to have threatened members of his parish and endangered their lives with three unlicensed guns believed to be in his possession, without approval.

As a result of the Reverend Father's action, many are now afraid of going to the church.
Crime Guard reliably gathered that the guns which include one pump action riffle, one double-barrelled gun and a locally-made pistol allegedly belonging to the priest were recovered from his official residence by operatives of Special Armed Robbery Squad, SARS, Imo State Police Command acting on a tip off from some concerned parishioners.

Described as a very controversial priest, the reverend father was arrested and detained briefly but granted bail by the police following the intervention of some influential religious and political leaders in the state.

Police sources said that the controversy surrounding the Catholic priest stemmed from a tragedy that occurred in January 2010, after the death of a prominent indigene of the area.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is ongoing by the police to ascertain the source of the guns and possibly the actual purposes they are being used for.
The Rev Father may be charged to court after full police investigation had been concluded.

A world 1st: 2 openly gay men become Prime Minister & deputy PM

Some people say the world is coming to an end...and maybe it is! Lol. For the first time in history, a country will have an openly gay man as both its Prime Minister and its Deputy Prime Minister. On Wednesday December 4th, openly gay talk show host, Xavier Bettel (pictured left) was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Luxemburg, while another openly gay man, Etienne Schneider, (pictured right) was made his deputy, making Luxemburg the first county in the world with gay men filling the top two spots in its government
"People do not consider the fact of whether someone is gay or not. Sometimes it’s not easy because you have some conservative persons, but there are always less and less and less. I think people vote for my character and they vote for my full party.” Bettel said
And guess the first thing he's doing? Gay weddings. Hehe
“Gay weddings will be done soon. At the moment in Luxembourg, we have to change the situation of marriage, religion and divorce laws. But I don’t think it’ll be in the next five years – it’ll be next year.” Prime Minister Bettel promised.

This Government Is Not Ready, The Strike Continues –– ASUU

Public university lecturers under the umbrella of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, on Sunday insisted that they would not return to the classrooms on Monday as directed by the federal government.

They also accused the President Gooodluck Jonathan-led Government of insincerity in its bid to resolve the 6 months old dispute. ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Fagge, confirmed their stand to go on with the strike...
The Federal Government had through the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Prof. Julius Okojie, deferred its earlier ultimatum to the lecturers to resume work on Monday (today) or risk being sacked. The shift was to enable them to participate in the burial of Prof. Festus Iyayi, a former president of ASUU on Saturday.

Before this, the Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, had advised the striking lecturers to return to work on or before December 4 or face dismissal.

But ASUU had in a news bulletin to its chapters after its meeting in Ekpoma, Edo State on Sunday, said the Federal Government had not met its conditions for suspending the over five months’ strike.

When asked by Punch if the members of the union would go back to work today and if they had confirmed the N200bn the Federal Government claimed to have deposited in a special account at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Fagge simply replied, “No to both questions.”

ASUU had in the bulletin insisted that the government threat to sack its members would not break the union’s resolve to pursue its action to a logical conclusion.

A source privy to the meeting, said:
“No Jupiter will force us to go and teach until all the agreements are documented. The Federal Government is not sincere. If indeed the authorities have agreed, why will they be afraid to document what has been agreed upon?

“Let the vice-chancellors, who can teach, go and do so. But our members are determined not to sign any attendance register tomorrow (today). The threat does not bother us, as truth will always supercede deception, lies and any form of intimidation.”

Finally, seasoned producer, OJB Jezreel has landed in Nigeria months after undergoing a successful kidney transplant in India.
Jezreel, who was earlier expected to return on Saturday, 7th December 2013, according to what I just learnt, actually breezed in on Thursday, 5th December 2013.

His return at an earlier date was arranged to make it a surprise for everyone.

Sources say Jezreel is being lodged now in a hotel at an undisclosed, secret location, not far from his Surulere, Lagos residence.

The music producer returned with his wife, Mabel Okungbowa, who donated one of her kidneys to save him.

The case which was supposed to be heard at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos was suspended because the presiding judge Justice Bubba was unexplainably absent.

This will be the second time that the case will be adjourned after an earlier November 11, 2013 adjournment.

My Alleged Sex Tape Turned Into A Blessing For Me- Chidinma

Here is what the MTN Project fame winner said about her alleged sex tape and how it made her more famous.

I woke up one morning and I was greeted on the internet with ‘Chidinma and sex tape’. I was worried primarily because of my mother. I didn’t let her see the video but I had to show her the photos. I didn’t want to go out that day. I couldn’t go out. But my mum felt otherwise. She told me to ignore the mischief makers. I almost took some actions but I thought against it.

I met Sound Sultan on a set. He told me, ‘Babe, you are now a star. I welcome you officially into the industry.’ I trended for three days. Even people who didn’t know me got to know me. My fan base grew. And then, I was happy because more than 90 per cent of the public didn’t believe I was the one in that video.

There were people who didn’t need to see the video to believe I couldn’t have done such thing. I am just grateful to everyone who didn’t believe the story. My twitter account was hacked and the people created another account. They kept releasing nasty pictures and they were even responding to the tweets as if I was the one doing it. I was just watching and laughing. It put me in the spotlight. I used it for good.

Ever since I started, I have been scared of scandals. I didn’t want to have any. But I realised that I cannot run away from it. It is just normal. It is not everybody who is happy seeing me rise. Some people are trying to do something to stop me. But sex tape is not enough to stop me.

They should bring up something else. The sex tape just took me to another level in my career. It moved me up. This is no more ‘little’ Chidinma. It didn’t bring me down in any way. I am still doing a lot of things.

The Palaver That Killed Justus Esiri Exposed

Veteran actor, Justus Esiri, may have finally died on Monday, February 18, 2013 – as a result of complications arising from diabetes and stroke. But before then, there was one other issue that was silently eating up the 70-year-old father and grandfather. It was an uncompleted film project he had begun work on about seven years ago.
Centred on some of the nefarious activities going on in the Niger Delta, the militants first warned him against embarking on it. But before then, he had also been having a running battle with the director of the film, Ifeanyi Onyeabor.
Not only did he battle him till he died, trying to get the master tape, those that provided the funds with which the high-budget project was embarked upon were also on his neck. “It was in the midst of that, that the man suffered the first stroke about a year and a half ago. He had even begun recovering little by little when the second one, which claimed his life, occurred”, explained one close family member.
The title of the film which Esiri didn’t eventually get to see its final copy is The Way We Are, and among the stars in it are Segun Arinze and Gbenga Richard. One of those who took part in it corroborated this. According to him: “Till the man died, he kept lamenting and lamenting about the misfortunes the film brought his way”
Esiri, who we also gathered was diabetic, was part of the Nollywood Delegation that visited President Goodluck Jonathan after the death of his brother, Chief Meni Jonathan .He was also supposed to be at the thanksgiving service of the First Lady, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, on Sunday, February 17, until death decided otherwise.
The gifted and gregarious actor will be eternally remembered for his role in Village Headmaster. Married to Omiete and blessed with six children (Ophlia, Ejiro, Justus Jnr., Sidney, Andrew and Tobor), among his movies that will continually be evergreen are Wasted Years, The Price, Six Demons and Forever.
His burial details are yet to be made public.

Folawemi Taiwo Okunniyi and Febisola Kehinde Okunniyi are identical twin sisters from the same parents from Ondo State. Their grooms, Chinonso Akinade Okueze and Chibuzor Adelakin Okueze are also identical twins from the same parents from Asaba, Delta State.
During the church wedding, officials of the Guinnes Book of World Records acknowledged that they have never had any record or history of twins’ marriage in Africa.
Big congrats to the husbands and wives!

Outrage Greets FG’s “7-Years Jail Term /N5million Fine” For Social Media Critics.

Criticism on Wednesday greeted the bill by the Senate seeking a seven-year jail term for social media critics found guilty of inciting the public against the Federal Government.
The controversial bill, which reportedly has scaled through the second reading in the upper legislative chamber, is also proposing a stiffer punishment for Internet fraudsters and scammers. Such swindlers will also face seven years imprisonment.
Section 13 sub-section 3 of the bill proposes, “Anyone, who intentionally propagates false information that could threaten the security of the country or that is capable of inciting the general public against the government through electronic message shall be guilty of an offence and upon conviction shall be sentenced to seven years imprisonment or N5m (fine).”
The Senate President, David Mark, represented by the Deputy Minority Whip, Senator Abu Ibrahim, (APC, Katsina), declared open the public hearing of the bill on Tuesday.
According to Mark, electronic fraudsters posed a great danger to the country and so there is the need to tackle their activities in order to attract foreign investment.
The committee chairman Senator Umaru Dahiru (PDP, Sokoto), also noted that electronic fraud was a threat to world economies and Nigeria being a developing economy should enact appropriate laws to deal with the challenges.
Although the bill has yet to be enacted, for Nigerians on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, the consensus is that it simply amounts to an attempt to silence the voice of the people.
Already, social media perceptive Nigerians, who are not taking the lawmakers’ plan lightly, have swung into action to thwart what they described as plans by the government to silence the voice of the people.
Indeed, Victor Mbidi, a social media analyst, Online Editor and Presenter at Channels Television, hosted a G+ Hangout on Wednesday, where he urged Nigerians to share their thoughts on the “infamous” bill. The hangout, which was free and open to all, witnessed a large participation. It also featured live voice and video conversations.
It is therefore not surprising that the social media frenzy has begun. Trust Nigerians, who do not take issues that border on their freedom of expression lightly, they have already begun changing their Twitter biographies and handles to reflect their angst against the proposal.
A ‘visual stroll’ along Twitter also reveals that some other persons have since changed their Avatars to reflect the situation at hand. Little wonder, images with the inscription, ‘NASS, leave our social media alone,’ are taking over their timelines.
While this is not be the first time that lawmakers or government agency will be moving to censor the social media fora in the country, the latest action by NASS appears to be the icing on the cake.
The Bureau of Public Enterprise in September said it planned to draw up possible regulations for the use of social media in the country.
The Director-General of the agency, Benjamin Dikki, revealed that the bureau would apply its authority to regulate materials uploaded on the various social media platforms.
“In line with its reform mandate, the bureau plans to initiate necessary policies and the legal framework for the regulation of the social media in the country,” Chigbo Anichebe, head of the Bureau’s public communication, had said in a statement. However, very little of no attention was paid to the announcement.
The latest move by the National assembly comes as a rude shock to Nigerians who are active on new media forums, leading to a massive outrage.
Comments have been pouring in torrents from the likes of Popular Afrobeat artiste, Seun Kuti, who simply asked, “How many years for una wey dey government wey dey steal our future(money)? Well me I am ready for una seven years for saying the truth.”
Also, Jayla Peperempe, in a tweet said, “I actually think this law is mostly for them Dino Melaye, El-Rufai and boys. Nobody got time for floor members.”
DoubleEph also queried the move, saying, “So many thoughts going through my head on this bill – for instance, what will be GEJ’s punishment for bringing Facebook to Nigeria?”
“Sending social media critics to jail for seven years? Wow! National Assembly o! Time for union…Union of Social Media Critics…USMC,” screamed Ògbóni Olúmîde on Twitter.
Stopcorruption also boarded the critic wagon. He said, “Nigerian Senate obnoxious plan to jail social mediacritics: a dangerous inquisition to the tenets of democracy and good governance.”
A debate has also begun on the BBC Africa Twitter handle as it has also broadcast the threat.

Top 10 Healthy Foods You Should Eat Everyday

Eating healthy is an important part of life. Many of us strive to eat as healthy as possible every day, but are you really consuming the best nutrients for your body?
With so many superfoods available, it’s hard to know which ones offer the most benefits. That’s where we come in.
We’ve compiled a list of 10 foods you should be eating every day. If you don’t consume anything else on a regular basis, do your best to incorporate these foods into your diet:
1. Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are an easy way to add a big dose of fiber into your diet. They can be purchased in the bulk food area of any grocery store and can be sprinkled over salads, fish or any type of meal or snack. To give you an idea of just how healthy these are, a single tablespoon of ground flaxseed sprinkled over cerea, yogurt or salad provides an easy 2.3 grams of fiber.

2. Beans

The soluble fiber found in beans soaks up cholesterol, allowing your body to dispose of it before it sticks to your artery walls. They’re also proven to be one of the best sources of antioxidants.
